How is the preparation for the Russian Championship going? Academy student Elvira Belyaeva tells all
Academy student Elvira Belyaeva from Gatchina is preparing a new program with a ribbon for the Russian Championship.
She shared how training is going ahead of the tournament in Moscow.
"I am not good with risks so far. I must throw them high, while I do not have them high for now. I am trying hard, practicing them every morning and doing them several times each. I practice them many times before run-throughs. I have good performance of certain elements, skills. I am good at doing the echappe, the boomerang," Elvira said.
The gymnast noted that another student, Ksenia Savinova, also helps her prepare.
"Ksyusha explains plenty of things to me - this is very helpful. I am very grateful to her for that. She can come up to me any time and tell me what mistake I had, so that I can get the credit," the gymnast said.
The competition will take place in Moscow, February 13-22. In addition to Elvira Belyaeva, other Academy students Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina, Miroslava Monina from Penza and Eva Chugunova from Ulyanovsk, will be taking part in it.
