The Academy group gymnasts won gold in the exercise with five ribbons at the third stage of the Cup of the Strongest

The group gymnasts from the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy and the Russian National team won gold medal in the five-ribbon event at the third stage of the Cup of the Strongest.

The team consists of Alexandra Ponomareva, Alisa Kirpicheva, Vladislava Gaivoronskaya, Alina Chistyakova, and Elvira Belyaeva. Their coach is Daria Pirogova, and the choreographer is Veronika Shatkova.

Gymnasts from St. Petersburg took second place. The group from the Omsk Region posted the third-best result; however, tournament rules dictate that no more than two teams from a single country may stand on the podium, so the bronze medal went to the athletes from Belarus.

The Academy group gymnasts are the active champions of the Russian national championships. They live and train at  the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
