Head judge of the Scarlet Sails tournament, Natalia Lashchinskaya, talks about the progress of the Academy gymnasts

Natalia Lashchinskaya, the Head judge of the Scarlet Sails tournament, which took place in St.Petersburg from May 15 to 17, summed up the results of the competition and noted the progress of the Academy gymnasts, former students of the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center.

After the end of the tournament, the judge shared her impressions of the scale of the competition.

"This year we have municipal and regional competitions. And there are a lot of gymnasts from different clubs and schools," she said.

Natalia emphasized that the gymnasts performing in the first category program did not succeed in their performances with the ribbon, because they only recently started working with it. In her opinion, in the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association children have more opportunities to successfully work with this apparatus, since training with the ribbon there begins at an earlier age.

"You can't get by without the basics. And the  International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association do a good job by starting the ribbon practice early," Natalia said.

She also noted the successes and progress of the Academy gymnasts who previously trained at the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center.

“They have an ideal opportunity to train there. Furthermore, these gymnasts, the ones that moved there, are indeed strong gymnasts on their own, plus excellent coaches work there. The girls have grown up a lot. Simply growing up a lot; today I applauded both Malinina and Solomatina."
