In 2011, the Russian team was represented at the AEON Cup by junior Alexandra Soldatova, along with seniors Daria Kondakova and Evgeniya Kanaeva.
Together, they took first place in the team competition. Evgeniya Kanaeva and Alexandra Soldatova won in their respective categories. Daria Kondakova placed second.
For Alexandra Soldatova, this AEON Cup was her first major international success. That same year, Daria Kondakova won silver in the individual all-around at the World Championships in Montpellier, and for Evgeniya Kanaeva, 2011 was one of the most successful years of her career, winning six gold medals at the World Championships.
