At the second stage of the Cup of the Strongest, Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg won the all-around title. The athlete shared why working with Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva is valuable to her:<blockquote>"I really missed performing at home with my home crowd. And in Moscow, too, it's really nice. I've been performing here for about seven years now, and I really love this venue, these stands, and this support. The fans were amazing! Alina Maratovna personally came on the first day and supported us, got us going, and oversaw our preparation. It's always a thrill and a pleasure when Alina Maratovna comes and when she's in touch with us, because she's always involved in the preparation process, both outside of competition and right from the start. I'm very happy and grateful to Alina Maratovna for always being with us."</blockquote>The gymnast told about the new ball program:<blockquote>"I have a new ball program, completely different from my old routine. It's very fast-paced. It has a lot of musical accents, and it's more serious. I associate it with my previous clubs. It's probably a continuation of the story. I think it's easier for me to do fast music, to have a rhythm, a high tempo."</blockquote>Masha also thanked everyone who helped prepare for this competition:<blockquote>"I want to thank my coach, Irina Nikolaevna Gusarova, because the preparation for this competition was serious, and she worked seven days a week to prepare me well. And I am very grateful to her. We've been through so much already and will go through so much more together. And I'm just so happy that we've formed such a tandem since childhood and that we're together. I love her very much! I'm grateful to Ekaterina Medorovna, the choreographer, to all the doctors, and to the entire Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy. Thank you! Thank you to the fans. The Academy's junior group gymnasts successfully competed in the second stage of the Cup of the Strongest, winning three gold medals out of three.After the tournament, team gymnast Anna Gryaznova spoke about the preparations for the tournament and how important it is to stay calm on the carpet:<blockquote>"We have the tasks of three out of three run-throughs. Certainly, you are already thrilled when doing the third run-through and something may not work out as it should be. Nevertheless, you should be calm because if you start messing around, you will not succeed. Well, Daria Olegovna also tells us that risks should be taken yet smartly. Victoria Sergeevna came to us, she changed the routine and the start with balls for us: an inyeresting support also. And the ending. Well, we certainly tried different variants also but eventually ended with this one. We liked it a lot also and many thanks to her for dedicating her time to us and for such a nice change in the routinе."</blockquote>She thanked everyone who helped them:<blockquote>"We want to say many thanks to the whole pool of coaches, especially to Daria Olegovna, Elena Vladimirovna, and Anna Pavlovna for working with us, saying the needed words to us, setting us up, and we love them so much. Silver medalist Ksenia Savinova from Gatchina analyzed her performance in the all-around at the second stage of the Cup of the Strongest:<blockquote>"I didn't do very well with the hoop and clubs. I'll work more on them, my risks, my artistic form, and my elements. A big thank you to Alina Maratovna for coming to these competitions and preparing us. The International Gymnastics Federation (World Gymnastics) has allowed Russian athletes to compete with their flag and anthem.The decision was made by the Executive Committee on May 17.The decision applies to all five gymnastics sports that are part of the Russian Gymnastics Federation: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline, acrobatic gymnastics, and aerobic gymnastics.The next competition where our gymnasts will be able to perform with the flag and anthem will be the Challenge Cup in Romania, June 26–28, 2026. A separate decision by European Gymnastics is required to lift the sanctions at the European Championships at the end of May.

Eva Kononova from the Tyumen Region summed up her performance at the second stage of the Cup of the Strongest, noting the tournament's special atmosphere and the support of the stands:<blockquote>"The competition went quite well. I think the atmosphere here is very warm. And the fans are very supportive. I really enjoy competing here. I performed quite well in all events. The ball wasn't quite right, but we'll work on it even more. The atmosphere is very nice and the fans are great, everyone's so supportive. They say: 'Can I please take a picture or can you sign this?' And then, when they're leaving, they say, 'Eva, you're the best, we really like you.' I really appreciate it when people say that. I&nbsp;never throw away any of the posters, of course. I keep them all in my room, looking at them."</blockquote>The gymnast spoke about the preparation and changes in the program:<blockquote>"We worked on the cleanliness, made the routine more challenging, and tried to bring everything into focus. We changed the clubs a bit and created a really dynamic second sequence. There's no program that I can really single out. But I really enjoy doing the ribbon. It's very interesting and has a new style."</blockquote>Eva shared that her friend had come to support her in the stands:<blockquote>"My friend came here, we trained together with Vera Nikolaevna Shatalina and Ekaterina Valentinovna. We get along very well. Her name is Alya, Alexia Pashko. She offers a lot of support after every competition.
