What’s important to know about rhythmic gymnastics competitions at the BRICS Games?

June 18 is the day of rhythmic gymnastics competition participants' arrival at the BRICS Games in Kazan. Here’s what’s important to know about this competition.

Athletes from 18 countries will compete for 20 sets of medals in individual programs and group exercises according to senior and junior programs on the floor of the Gymnastics Center.

The competition is held according to FIG rules, and the exercise without an object will be judged according to the Russian rules.

We’d like to remind you that at the BRICS Games, Russians Mariia Borisova, Vladislava Nikolaenko, Victoria Bespalova, as well as Daria Grokhotova from Belarus will perform as part of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team in the senior program. In the junior program - Asel Arapova from Kyrgyzstan and Academy students Kristina Voitenko, Karolina Tarasova, Ksenia Savinova. In group exercises, the Association will be represented by the Nizhny Novgorod region team (senior women) and the team of the Zhemchuzhina Rhythmic Gymnastics Center from St. Petersburg (junior women).

The selection for the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team took place at the international Sky Grace Grand Prix tournament in Minsk.
