"We were inspired by the history of this tournament!" Technical Director Georgy Nechuneev speaks about creating decorations for the competitions in Beijing

Georgy Nechuneev, the Technical Director of the Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025, described how the competition decorations were created this year:

"We were inspired first of all by the history of this tournament, because this year we celebrate the fifth anniversary, the jubilee of the tournament. And we decided to recall how it was in the early years. The tournament was held in Moscow. We looked at the stage design and wanted to repeat something a little bit, and also to refine it. And we perfected it exactly with these lines. We had an exit from the arch, and there were such elegant LED structures there. These structures, they became the basis for the lines now. For example, scenographic cutoffs of the display. We were probably inspired by that."

The professional noted the friendship developed with the Chinese organizing team:

"The same team is working, organizing from the side of China. We became friends as early as last time, we were happy to meet this year. I came for an inspection, I was very happy that it would be the same team, the same technical director. And even some technical tasks that I send, they ask me in advance how it was last time. That is, they immediately understand what the requirements are, what is needed. We are making some adjustments. And, of course, it was easier to work this year because we had already worked out some points last time and refined them this year, and we have already scrutinized the nuances and the details."

The international tournament will be held in Beijing from November 12 to 14.
