The Academy hosted the Sky Grace international rhythmic gymnastics tournament. It was attended by 18 athletes from 14 countries (Russia, Belarus, China, Hungary, Cuba, India, Armenia, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Slovakia, Colombia, Mexico, the Kyrgyz Republic, Guatemala), December 2-4.
What’s unique about the competition is that it is not held according to generally accepted international rules, but according to experimental ones, which require a much more complex program. They return gymnasts to the “gold standard” of the early 2000s, when Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva triumphed at the Athens Olympics, and also include the rules adopted for 2022-2024.
