"They never did it!" Coach Tatyana Yakimova talsk about the performance of the students at the tournament in Qatar

Coach Tatyana Yakimova came to Qatar with two students — Sarah Al Ali from Syria and Tiara Rakotonirina from Madagascar.

The specialist told how she worked with gymnasts before the performance according to the rules of the Sky Grace International Clubs Association.

"We were preparing, changing the programs according to the rules of Sky Grace, learning new elements. In Sky Grace there are elements of flexibility, and on the back, and some interesting jumps - they count and give more points than in the FIG rules. Therefore, it was very interesting to me, and I could teach them something that our coaches taught me."

As an example, she cited the elements that the gymnasts learned especially before the competition and performed for the first time.

"First of all, we have supplied combined elements. We learned Kabaeva's ring jump with two on the floor. They've never done that. And I taught Tiara how to make an element: scissors — jump into the back. This is only in the rules of Sky Grace. I set the children up so that they enjoy the moment, the atmosphere, and watch the children train."

At the international Sky Grace Cup tournament in Doha, both athletes perform according to the junior program.
