"I need to overcome myself first!" Sofia Ilteryakova talks about the forthcoming transition to the senior status

Sofia Ilteryakova, the silver medalist of the Sky Grace Cup International Tournament and Beijing Top Open 2025, spoke about the preparation for the tournament:
"The atmosphere here is truly incredible. The hall is amazing! Just like all the halls of the World Championships, this arena is so large and huge. So it was really cool to perform here. We have mainly just added a combination element in all the events. And if it worked out with the apparatus, we could place these decorations somewhere, which give a bonus according to these rules. I liked it. I think it looks very interesting!"
The athlete shared her expectations from the forthcoming transition to the senior status:
"Actually, I'm not anxious, but I think it will be very interesting. Now we will be changing some programs, say, adding elements, because seniors have more elements, more risks. I think it will be very interesting. I think I need to overcome myself first, because we are moving to the senior program, and then we'll see."
Sofia is coached by Natalia Glemba; Ekaterina Sergeeva is the choreographer.
