Karolina Tarasova from Donetsk has started preparations for the Sky Grace contest, which will be held in Shanghai in November.
Under the guidance of the coach of the Academy, the 1996 European champion Anna Ustsova, the gymnast is working on a new exercise with a jump rope.
"I will perform with the jump rope because it is available in the Sky Grace. I am preparing it slowly because it is a very heavy one. I have never practiced, never performed, and somehow never took in hand. I started practicing with it only when I came here."
Alexander Buklov, a three-time world champion in men's rhythmic gymnastics, staged the program for Karolina.
"I am practicing it now in small parts. He (Alexander Buklov) staged it for me but I did not work it out because I had other competitions and I was preparing for them. I will now work very diligently with the jump rope."
She noted that a proper push of the jump rope where it will fly consistently is the most challenging for her.
