Gymnasts from the Netherlands made their debut at the international Sky Grace Cup tournament

After making their debut at the international Sky Grace Cup tournament, gymnasts from the Netherlands shared their emotions from the competition.

Senior Gabrielle Noah Van Der Laan singled out the favorite among the participants:

"This tournament is really beautiful, and big, and just gorgeous. The people here are very nice. I know the gymnast Maria Borisova. I like her because she's really great."

Junior Indy Veltman spoke about the preparation for the tournament:

"It's really beautiful here. The impressive hall and everything else is perfect too. We have made minor changes to the programs. Basically, we changed a few elements and some things in the technique."

Gymnasts coach Polina Khonina noted how important it is for athletes to take part in these competitions:

"Alina Kabaeva invited us, and we are very glad to be here. This is a great opportunity for me and my gymnasts to learn from the very best. And such an experience at such wonderful competitions, I think they will really like it. They will remember it for the rest of their lives. I knew, and the girls knew before that about these competitions. We watched them. For them, the goal now is just to gain experience, enjoy, and get great emotions from these competitions. And be proud of themselves after this start, that they did what they could, that they tried their best. I think they will learn a lot and, when they come home, they will work much harder. And learn new elements, new risks, new skills. It is a great experience for them, and I am very glad that we were able to come!"

The international Sky Grace Cup tournament takes place in Doha from November 20 to 22.
