Gymnasts Alena and Alisa Kochemazov share their impressions before the start of Sky Grace-2023
Gymnasts Alena and Alisa Kochemazov will make their debut at the third international Sky Grace-2023 tournament. At the competition in Beijing, the girls will represent Australia.
Before the start, the athletes, who train with Russian coaches, shared their expectations from the performance in the capital of China.
“The rules are good. They seem to be mixed with both Russian and international rules. In general, I like these rules. First, you can do more elements than under the international rules, but not as many as are currently requested under the Russian rules. On average 11 elements, I think that's enough. It was specifically done there so that everyone would do complex elements, and not twist single fouettés and a lot of them, but rather triple and quadruple ones. The elements that Alina Kabaeva did in her time, her signature elements, make rhythmic gymnastics much more spectacular. In our hall, in Moscow, there is a huge photograph of her across the entire hall, on the entire wall, where she is in this ring. Yes, it’s inspiring! You come to the gym, see this and you get this drive to work,” the girls said.
