“Many thanks to our Chinese colleagues for the warm welcome.” Eldar Sayfutdinov on Sky Grace-2023

Choreographer and director of the international Sky Grace-2023 tournament Eldar Sayfutdinov spoke about working together with Chinese colleagues during preparations for the competition at the Olympic Arena of Beijing University of Technology. 

“Beijing is one of the Olympic venues, this is, of course, very cool.  And for the first time this wonderful competition will be held according to the Sky Grace rules. So there is a lot of novelty here, plus technical details, of course, connecting Russian technologies, Russian approaches to holding tournaments and the Chinese side.  This, of course, requires its own nuances, but our Chinese and Russian teams, in my opinion, are managing well. Thank you very much to our Chinese colleagues for the warm welcome, for the accommodation, and over all for their politeness.The main task at hand is to increase the popularity of gymnastics, the popularity of the Russian gymnastics vision throughout the world, including in the country that is now in many ways leading in the sport - China. And therefore I think that it is of universal, great importance to speak our word. Russia is already a leader in gymnastics, but these are very complicated times, and we need to move gymnastics further and defend the dignity of our country, including through tournaments like this one,” he said.
