“There are a lot of strong gymnasts here.” Elena Karpushenko evaluated the level of the Academy training camp

Russia’s Honored Coach Elena Karpushenko spoke about the course of the Youth of Moscow physical culture and sports association training camp at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
“I think that the children are very interested, because when they saw who will be here now, they pulled themselves together already from the very beginning, even before the training started. Everything is very convenient here. The group that’s here also makes a difference. I think it will be very helpful,” Elena said.
The coach also noted that young athletes have a great opportunity to try programs according to different rules. “Right now it is profitable for us. To try performing both according to the Russian and international rules. They differ in both training and preparation. Coming from a good training camp, you, of course, are always more trained than you would be just training at home. Even now we have gotten very lucky. There are a lot of strong gymnasts here,” she said.
At the Academy, her students began preparing for the international tournament in Minsk. ”The Golden Rose tournament, held in Minsk, is very interesting and important. They always have a very strong line-up of participants. A lot of strong gymnasts from Russia come there. Very strong Belarusian gymnasts, we all know them. And, of course, it will be interesting, and the girls really want to go there. We hope to succeed. I think that after the training camp we will do even better,” Elena explained.
The Youth of Moscow physical culture and sports association training camp, headed by Russia’s Honored Coach Elena Karpushenko runs at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy from June 30 to July 11.
