"There are a lot of new and interesting elements here!" Judge Anastasia Asryan talks about the all-Russian Sky Grace Cup competition
A judge from the Ryazan region, Anastasia Asryan, worked at the interregional qualifying competitions for the Sky Grace Cup and now she has come to the Academy for the All-Russian tournament.
She shared her impressions of preparing for and judging the competition.
"In January, a seminar for training judges was held at Sky Grace. I came to this seminar, took the exam, and successfully passed to become a fourth-level judge. And then I took part in judging interregional qualifying competitions in the Central Federal District. I am very glad that I have this opportunity to come and judge the all-Russian Sky Grace competition. See exactly the Sky Grace rules in action. Of course, it is very interesting for me as a judge to evaluate the performance of the gymnasts," she said.
The judge also spoke about how gymnasts’ performances are assessed according to the rules of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association.
"The rules of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association differ from the All-Russian rhythmic gymnastics rules. And, of course, during the judging process, controversial issues came up, but we collectively gathered, discussed them and came to a common opinion. For gymnasts, the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association rules allow them to reveal their potential. There are a lot of new, interesting elements here. Many have new elements that are not in the All-Russian Rhythmic Gymnastics Federation rules. The cost of the elements also differs," the judge said.
The All-Russian rhythmic gymnastics Sky Grace Cup competition is held at the Academy, April 10 to 14.
