"Everything you need to train is here." Elena Karpushenko about training at the Academy

Russia’s Honored coach Elena Karpushenko is bringing athletes to the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace  Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy for the 4th time. Among the participants is the winner of the Russian Championship, Alexandra Borisova, who is preparing for the Sky Grace tournament in Shanghai.

Elena talked about plans for the training camp and explained why she decided to hold them again at the Academy.

"We are reworking the program now. And, of course, we thought it smart to be closer to the source. That is, if we redo it, if we are preparing, then, of course, it is more convenient to do it here. Here everyone knows more, there is someone to ask, someone to consult with. We thought that it would probably be the smartest thing to come here if we are preparing for the Sky Grace. We just really like it here, because everything is very sensible, it’s very convenient to train," the coach said.

She noted that after theAcademy training camps, the results at competitions becomes significantly better.

"So we were preparing for competitions here, and we realized that, of course, going to competitions to competitions out of conditions like here, is much more convenient, more enjoyable, and the results are better.  If everything is available here for training, then why not come here?"

The international Sky Grace-2023 tournament will be held in Shanghai, November 24-26.
