Yana Zaikina shares her impressions of the performance at the interregional Sky Grace Cup tournament

Academy student Yana Zaikina from Volgograd shared her impressions of the interregional Sky Grace Cup tournament performance.
"On the first day, everything went more or less fine for me, because I only lost it once in the hoop. Because I had already relaxed, I thought that everything was clean, and I was in a hurry on the last risk and didn’t catch it. And I did the ball cleanly, the clubs not so much, the ribbon — well, clean.Work more on stability, and to do all the risks five out of five or ten out of ten, so that everything is worked through. And work more on elements and risks, and on artistry," the gymnast said.
She talked about the most memorable senior gymnasts and noted their strengths.
"I like Masha Borisova, Anya Vakulenko and Sasha Borisova. They are all so artistic, the three of them. And because they are Masters, they have one more risk, and therefore they have to try even harder, work harder, and succeed. And I am very glad that everything works out for them," Yana said.
The gymnast also thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva and the Academy coaches for preparing her for the tournament.
"I wanted to say a big thank you to Alina Kabaeva for supporting us, giving us the opportunity to train and perform here. And to Elizaveta Chernova for the preparation, and Ekaterina Dyukova, who also comes, supports, watches, and gives some advice. And, of course, Evgenia Eliseeva, she also sometimes takes me to control training sessions, watches, charges me with such energy, and I do a good run," she said.
Yana Zaikina showed the third result among the Academy gymnasts in the all-around competition in the Candidate Master of Sports program.
