Yana Zaikina and Anna Vakulenko share their impressions after the international Winter Queen Cup tournament in Spain

Academy gymnasts Yana Zaikina and Anna Vakulenko from Volgograd completed their performance at the international Winter Queen Cup tournament in Playa de Aro.

After the end of the competition, Anna summed up the results.

"This is my first time in Masters, it was much more difficult for me than usual, and I felt nervous because I had already moved on to a new level. There were new programs, the ball was my first time, I did it. But on the second day I dropped the clubs on the risk, because I was a little nervous, and I didn’t do the ribbon very well. My coaches, Alina Kabaeva, helped me a lot, because they supported me, gave me advice on everything," Anna said.

And Yana thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva for the opportunity to take part in international competitions.

"My coach, Elizaveta Chernova, helped me. She told me about my mistakes during training, made comments, introduced new elements and new risks according to FIG rules. And, of course, Alina Kabaeva also gave feedback. Evgeniya Kanaeva came to our master class. She looked at my exercises at the training camp in Valdai and changed some things, corrected some things. We were selected for this tournament, so we went. I think we presented Sky Grace with dignity, performed well, and of course, many thanks to Alina Kabaeva for this opportunity. We love you very much," Yana said.

At the Winter Queen Cup in Spain, Yana Zaikina won two gold and two silver medals among gymnasts born in 2010-2011. And Anna Vakulenko has four bronze medals among seniors born in 2009 and older. The gymnasts' coaches are Elizaveta Chernova and Evgenia Eliseeva.
