"I’m very pleased with the girls!" Coach Evgenia Eliseeva talking about the performance of Academy students in Barnaul
Academy coach Evgenia Eliseeva reviewed the results after the end of the international competition in Barnaul and praised them for the fighting spirit.
"Honestly, there were drawbacks, there were minor mistakes, but I’m very pleased with the girls, because after some small mistakes, they were able to pull themselves together, move on, perform with a colorful, expressive face and went to the end, fought, and that made me very happy. None of the girls fell apart, no one gave up. And this is very important, when a child goes to the end, she wants to accomplish, she wants to win a medal, and this was very evident in their performances. Their struggle is against themselves to do a clean run until the end."
She told how the preparations for the tournament took place.
"We did clean runs every day, we had a training plan, every day booked. We strictly followed it, did not leave the hall until we fulfilled."
The professional summarized the performance of Academy students.
"It actually wasn’t difficult for Ksyusha to perform at these competitions. She had one loss in all types. She is ready after the previous competitions, which took place at Sky Grace. Eva did not perform for a very long time, she was ill and, of course, it was difficult for her to get into shape. Overall, I’m happy, because we scored good points, and she never scored like this, as her coach said, and I’m very happy about that, that we have become better."
Evgenia Eliseeva also thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva.
"I would like to thank our dear and beloved Alina Kabaeva. She called us as early as on the first day. She was very worried about the girls, that the judging would be fair, that the girls would perform well, and that there would be no questionable moments. And I am very grateful that she worries, cares about us, thinks about us. It is very dear and valuable."
The "Dynamo for Russia’s Children" international rhythmic gymnastics competition, where Academy students participated, were held in Barnaul from May 3 to 6.
