"Winning the BRICS Games in the all-around at this kind of competition is really cool!" Ekaterina Gvozdetskaya talks about Kristina Voitenko and the Academy training camp

Coach Ekaterina Gvozdetskaya talked about the training camp for Novosibirsk gymnasts and shared her impressions of Academy student Kristina Voitenko’s performance at the BRICS Games.

Athletes from Novosibirsk began working out at the training camp at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Academy under the guidance of Ekaterina Gvozdetskaya.

She talked about her plans for the training camp.

"We came as a big team, there are 26 of us. Among us are children, both Novosibirsk Olympic Reserve School students, and children of two clubs, two schools. We came to introduce them to the Sky Grace Academy, to visit our student here, to train, to gain experience, respectively, so that the children could see, learn how the girls work," Ekaterina said.

Ekaterina is the first mentor of Academy student Kristina Voitenko. The coach shared her impressions of the gymnast's performance at the BRICS Games.

"She came when she was four, and last year she moved to the Academy.  She loves her craft.  She gets upset when she can't do something. She always tries to do everything the first time. And her talent, her ability, her natural gifts allow her to do that. For us in the Novosibirsk region, and in general, I think it is for any athlete, to win the BRICS Games in the all-around, in a competition like that, it is very cool," she said.

At the BRICS Games, Kristina Voitenko became the champion in the all-around among juniors and helped the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team win silver medals in the team event.
