"Everyone is ready to compete!" Evgenia Eliseeva talks about the Barnaul competition

Academy coach Evgenia Eliseeva told how our students are preparing for the international tournament as part of the "Dynamo for Russia’s Children" festival in Barnaul.

"We are preparing for an international tournament in Barnaul, we have reworked the programs according to FIG rules, and moved on quite easily after Sky Grace, since Sky Grace is more complicated. We added one more risk, increased the rotational speed on turns, and, accordingly, the programs turned out quite well," the coach said.

She spoke about the gymnasts’ mood.

"The girls are in a positive mood, let’s say, ready for battle. Because quite a bit of time has passed since Sky Grace. They didn't have time to get out of shape. Quite a few of us are going to the competition. The girls have quite interesting programs, everyone is different, everyone wants to show their best sides, everyone is ready to compete and, of course, show the Academy in the best light.  So, in the last few days of preparation, we’re making clean runs and demanding the maximum, of course, so that they show what they are capable of," Evgenia said.

The international "Dynamo for Russia’s Children" festival will take place in Barnaul, May 3 to 9.

The festival will include international competitions according to FIG rules. Seniors, juniors, pre-juniors and children numbering 1100, from seven countries, will take to the floor.
