Academy student Elvira Belyaeva shared her emotions from the Games of Countries tournament

Academy student Elvira Belyaeva from Gatchina won five medals at the Games of Countries tournament.

After the award ceremony, the athlete shared her emotions from the competition.

"There were a lot of spectators, there was a lot of support. Very cozy! We were rooting for India, for Kazakhstan, for Belarus! Because these are our friends whom we should also support," Elvira said.

She also talked about preparing a jump rope program.

"They set up a jump rope program for me, and it didn’t work out very well. We worked very hard on it every day. And a few days before the competition, I was already putting together a clean run," Elvira said.

The gymnast thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva, coaches, judges and everyone involved in the competition.

"I want to say thank you for a tournament like the Sky Grace. I want to say thank you to all the judges who judged me, all the coaches, special thanks to Alina Kabaeva and the entire Academy," she said.

The international Games of Countries tournament was held at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, October 19-22.
