"Vakulenko made the matchless ball performance" Lyubov Cherkashina talks about the Crystal Rose tournament

Bronze medalist of 2012 Olympics Lyubov Cherkashina was the chief judge at the Crystal Rose international tournament.

She explained why the tournament in Minsk is a special one.

"We always try to tackle every tournament in our country very meticulously. However, the Crystal Rose is something special for us because we want to show as much beauty as possible in rhythmic gymnastics exactly through this tournament. Smaller ages were added this year. Children — this is always very interesting because they come up to the floor very boldly. They show such things that even a coach may not always see during a workout. And it gives some zest."

The professional also highlighted performance of certain gymnasts retained in her memory.

"Speaking about juniors, I would, by the way, highlight Sky Grace gymnasts, especially Vakulenko, when she made the matchless ball performance. It seems to me that even the entire hall was silent and afraid of interfering, applauding. Our brightest star Alina Harnasko performed. I would like to stress that Alina is the fantastic fighter. Harnasko comes up at any tournament as like at the Olympic stage. She always wants to prove and to show superb, beautiful gymnastics. So that not a single viewer in the hall remains indifferent."

Lyubov Cherkashina also discussed advantages of Sky Grace rules:

"It is interesting what the Sky Grace offers but I am certain this will change continuously, adapting to time. Still, it is very easy to spot a talent in these rules. Talents have a great advantage in these rules."
