"We have a great team!" Irina Gusarova talks about the performance of the Sky Grace gymnasts at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup

Academy coach Irina Gusarova commented on the triumph of Mariia Borisova from St. Petersburg at the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup

"I am incredibly happy, happy for Masha, that she believes in herself, that she moves forward, that she overcomes herself. And this is all thanks to Alina Kabaeva. She believes in her, loves her and gives her the strength to fight, move forward, enjoy her performances and give joy to all the spectators, including me," she said.

She summed up the performances of another student, Alexandra Borisova from Moscow.

"Sasha is wonderful! She is growing up, she feels the power and potential in herself, she is trying to open up. But we will work even harder, make the program more difficult, so that she is competitive and strives forward to leadership positions," Irina said.

She noted the support of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association team.

"In fact, we have a wonderful team now, everyone is rooting for each other, and this also helps a lot, because a gymnast feels that she has a force behind her that believes in her, that supports her, that loves her. This is wonderful. And the younger gymnasts also look at her, learn and try to be just as wonderful, maybe even better in some places, and strive forward to further success," the coach said.

The Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup was held in Moscow from March 2 to 7. Irina Gusarova's student Mariia Borisova became the all-around champion in the seniors' program and also won four gold medals in all finals of individual events.
