"We have a very good future!" Russian national team Head coach Tatyana Sergaeva talks about the Russian championship

Head coach of the Russian national rhythmic gymnastics team Tatyana Sergaeva shared her impressions of the athletes' performances at the Russian championship in Kazan.

 “This is the main event for each girl this year. The top 24 gymnasts will join our national team. I really liked almost everyone from the top ten after the first day. And I understand that we have a very good future. I always stick to the opinion that if a child is a diamond indeed, even if she has failed at one of the serious competitions in this year, this diamond will always surface in the next year also. It will definitely come out. And we will always notice her. That is why I tell everyone, if you are not noticed this year, especially as regards juniors, you will definitely demonstrate yourself in the coming years,” she said.

 Tatyana also noted the work of the gymnasts’ mentors.

 “I wish everyone good luck because I know pretty well that all of them are working, everyone is working very hard. Not only are the gymnasts laboring, their coaches are also working from morning till evening. Accompanying good luck will never hinder an athlete. I know this from my own experience,” she said.
