“Many people want to come to us!” Coach Irina Dzyuba about training at the Academy

Irina Dzyuba, 1996 Olympics bronze medalist and Academy coach of the Academy, spoke about the start of training camp. 

“A lot of people were waiting for this training camp, a lot of people wrote us and asked for it. Many people want  to come to us, to get acquainted with the Academy, with the coaches, with our methods. Today we have guests from different cities, from different parts of Russia. About seventy gymnasts and coaches came to us,” Irina said.

The coach also explained in detail what is the distinctive feature of the training sessions at the Academy.

“The Academy already has a cumulative experience from various other teachers, we have a lot of people who were here, and Russia’s Honored coaches gave master classes, and just very famous coaches. We are slowly preparing our own training manual. And each coach also has her own, let’s say, strengths, we discussed all this in advance, planned it out. This training camp  is probably more of an informational gathering, because many coaches want to show their children, and we still need to, so to speak, test them, get to know them better. We will try to look at each child carefully, give advice, suggest something, and, accordingly, I think that the girls will take away a decent amount of new knowledge from here,” she said.  

The Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy will last until October 13.
