"I did it!" Preschooler Ulyana Makarkina talks about the mAlinka tournament at the Academy

After performing at the mAlinka competition, Academy preschooler Ulyana Makarkina shared her impressions.

“I performed well, I got first place.  I just did a split on my right leg and on my left leg. I did it!They gave me a first place medal and a diploma like this and a pillow,” she said.

She also talked about her favorite objects.

“My favorite objects are the hoop and clubs. I like when gymnasts do exercises with them,” Ulyana said.

The young gymnast noted that she was supported by fans in the stands.

“My mom was rooting for me, my sister. They just shouted and clapped for me,” she said. 

She thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva for the competition.

“Thank you, Alina Maratovna, for the mAlinka competition,” Ulyana said.

The mAlinka tournament for preschoolers from free early development groups was held at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy on April 19.
