Before the end of training in Valdai, the coaches summed up the results of the Christmas training camp.
Matvei Tsygankov, the coach of the M. Voronin Dynamo-Moscow athletic club gymnasts noted that the main feature of this camp was the unification of different sports.
"We practiced and we rested, we did everything together. The best part is that all the sports were together. We visited all these events together. Many new connections. And this is probably the charm of this training camp. And I want to express enormous gratitude to all the organizers, to everyone helping and participating in that, because the scale and the level of the festival for children is merely phenomenal. If I were a child and was involved in sports, I could probably have only dreamed of a training camp like this at their age, especially together with other sports. Because this is great," Matvei said.
The Martial Arts Academy coach Evgeniy Ivanov shared how the classes of young judokas took place.
"The program was rich indeed. Our children went on various excursions and practiced judo. They had master classes from Olympic champions; there were creative master classes. We mainly focused on acrobatics during this training camp. We made preparatory elements for the cartwheel and rolls, and added stretches and flexibility exercises," he said.
And Evgeniya Eliseeva, the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy coach, added that after the holidays, the athletes were able to recover by combining training with rest.
"We worked very productively, and we rested even better. The training camp in Valdai, this is a forest, this is nature, and these are the incredible emotions. We saw a lot of things, and our children visited various entertainment events. And certainly they had so many emotions. We are now in the new year with new emotions and charged up. We had very good practice because conditions are excellent here. And we managed to have a good recovery after the New Year holidays. Now we have the fresh force to go into battle," she said.
The Christmas training camp, which was organized by the founders of the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy, took place from January 3 to 16.
