"She's a very strong-willed girl." Elizaveta Chernova speaks about Arina Kovshova's preparation for the Russian Championship

Elizaveta Chernova is the coach of the new Russian champion Arina Kovshova from the Novosibirsk Region. She spoke about the help of Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva during the preparation for the Russian Championship and congratulated the team of specialists on their victory:

"Our preparation was tough. We were in the gym from morning until night, probably like every athlete. We were preparing. Alina Maratovna was always in touch. We had more than just one coach behind us, but a huge, huge team. So, congratulations to everyone."

She also shared her emotions from the final day of the tournament:

"The atmosphere was so captivating, I still can't quite believe it. The emotions were diverse, but now, I think, they're emotions of joy and happiness. And we really did a great job with the first three events, very well. And now it's all behind us; we're taking what happened as an experience and moving forward."

The Academy specialist also spoke about the character traits of Arina Kovshova that helped her win:

"She did a great job, because this is her first appearance after a long break. And she fought so hard, not just to perform, but to actually fight and win... She's a very strong-willed girl."
