Coach Maria Samoylyuk from St. Petersburg shares impressions from the training camp in the Academy

Coach Maria Samoylyuk, the specialist of the Olympic Reserve Athletic School 1 of the Frunzensky District in St. Petersburg, told us, what both gymnasts and coaches from the Northern Capital will keep in memory from the training camp in the Academy:

"We wanted to get here long since; we dreamed of coming to such a wonderful place. We really enjoy being here. This is because the halls are so large here, the atmosphere is so nice, and the coaches care deeply of the gymnasts. The training camp proceeds very fruitfully for us. The children do a lot of general physical training; they are exactly of 2013-2014 years of birth, they indeed miss it. This is because they are not yet strong enough and because of that there are difficulties when doing exercises exactly with apparatus. We liked the general physical training with teacher Ekaterina Lots very much. This is what is indeed required for this age. And Irina Gusarova certainly: parterre is also very interesting for senior children also. The psychologist also definitely helps our children a lot."

She also noted the unique character of rules of the Sky Grace International Clubs Association:

"We studied the rules. The rules are interesting by having decorative elements. This is because a gymnast may not always comply with two criteria but she can meet one. And we like the dancing focus certainly."

The training camp in the Academy lasts until January 26.
