The training sessions for gymnasts from different Russian regions at the Academy ended with a vibrant concert program. The athletes performed dance routines and received certificates.
Coach Evgeniya Finkelshtein summed up the results of the training camp.
"The training camp was very productive. First, there was a very strong coaching staff. The girls learned a lot. This includes choreography, physical training, technical training, and our object training was very strong. So I think everything went very well. I taught special physical training. We taught a lot of elements, did lead-ups to these elements, and stretched a lot because, unfortunately, there is not enough time for this during the year," she said.
She shared that she enjoys working with gymnasts.
"Our love is mutual. I’ve gotten to love them very much. In general, I will say honestly that I really love children. And it seems to me that we have some kind of connection, both with small and big kids," Evgeniya said.
Gymnast Valeria Sharaya also spoke about how she feels.
"The training camp went well, it was very fruitful. Sochi is always wonderful, the sea is nearby. For each lesson they were given stickers as incentive badges. Those who collected the most stickers turned out to be the best. Or they looked at the data and basically at the level of skill," Valeria said.
Training sessions at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy took place from June 20 to 30.
