Coach Elena Dzhamalova sums up the results of the Donetsk gymnasts’ Academy training camp

The training camp for Donetsk gymnasts at the Academy is coming to an end.

USSR Master of Sports and coach Elena Dzhamalova summed up the results of the training.

"The training camp was ideal in good conditions like these. The girls learned a lot, mastered new risks, turns, and fouette. It was very good, the children liked it.  We focus on new elements, new risks, making programs more difficult and practicing turns," she said.

She also talked about the athletes’ free time.

"We went to a beach once, we were at Skypark: The senior girls dove from the 171-meter height.  And yesterday the girls were at Sochi Park, rode on the rides, and visited the dolphinarium," the coach said.

Elena thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva for the invitation.

"Many thanks to Alina Kabaeva for inviting us. This is not our first time here thus far. We really like being here. These conditions are created for children so that they can see their progress," she said.

All of the expenses for the DPR gymnasts were covered by the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.
