"A coach must always be alert and alive, always in form." Daria Pirogova talks about the first tournament as part of the Academy team

The Russian Junior Championship was the first tournament as the Academy team member for coach Daria Pirogova. She spoke about the preparations for the competition in Kazan:

"It was actually exciting in reality back at the Academy, when we were training. But now that we’re here, to make sure my anxiety doesn’t pass on the kids, the coach has to stay vigilant and in proper shape at all times. We worked very hard, from morning till night."

The specialist highlighted the strengths of group exercise gymnasts:

"The girls all performed very well in their individual routines. Now that they've been brought together, they make a wonderful team. Captain Anna Gryaznova is helping Anna Pavlovna and me with this matter."

The coach also thanked Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva for her help in preparation:

"Alina Maratovna kept in touch with us every day. You can really feel it. Her support, her care. We remember every word she says. I would like to express my deepest gratitude to Alina Maratovna, Ekaterina Konstantinovna, and Anna Pavlovna, who were always available and ready to help. To Elena Vladimirovna, the entire medical staff, the massage therapists, and everyone at our Academy for their support and belief. We love you, thank you!"
