Coach Daria Gorbacheva speaks about the preparation of the group exercise programs at the Zhemchuzhina Center of Rhythmic Gymnastics

Daria Gorbacheva, a student of the Honored coach of Russia Elena Petunina and coach of the group exercises team at the Zhemchuzhina Center of Rhythmic Gymnastics, explained how the work on the programs is structured and what the emphasis is on when choosing music.

"Looking for music is the most difficult thing in a group exercise, because 50% of success is music, apart from the performances themselves. If the music is good and the children can express it, then everything should be fine."

She also spoke in detail about the images in the exercises of athletes from St. Petersburg.

"We have hoops to the music from the movie "Ivan Vasilyevich changes his profession" — "Conversation with happiness". We chose this music two weeks before the Russian championship, because before that it was different and it was not very suitable for children, it was difficult to express it. And they feel this music directly and express it very well emotionally, and they really like it. I was looking for the music myself. I was determined that they would have Spain, but there are many different kinds of music. We chose flamenco, it's diverse there. I did the exercise myself, with adjustments by Elena Afanasyeva, our choreographer at Zhemchuzhina. And we got such two completely different images."

The gymnasts of the Zhemchuzhina  Center of Rhythmic Gymnastics became the winners of the All-Russian Sky Grace Cup competition in Sirius among candidate masters of sports.
