Judge Olga Frolova told how the World Cup stage in Sofia went

Olga Frolova shared her impressions of the World Cup stage:

"This is our first international competition, our first World Cup. A fairly large-scale competition. The world's top gymnasts are competing here. We have the opportunity to perform together, compete, test our skills, and delight the audience."

And she talked about her new experience as a judge:

"I am for at the World Cup for the first time. This was the first opportunity to try my hand at being a judge. It's a huge responsibility and, of course, a real pleasure. This certainly serves as further motivation for work — new knowledge and new experience. A lot was discussed at the judges' meeting, a great deal of interesting information that we will also continue to apply both at assessment training sessions and throughout the training process. It's not easy to judge the top gymnasts."

She also talked about how other participants reacted to the first participation of our delegation in several years, and appreciated the performances of the gymnasts:

"They did a good job. Many coaches and judges came up to us and said that we have very strong gymnasts. They have a top-notch difficulty, the elements. They say, ‘Good luck, keep moving forward, and get to work.’ It’s incredibly gratifying that the girls made their international debut and did so quite successfully."

The specialist noted that participation in the Russian Championship and the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions helped the athletes get in shape:

"There's a lot of competition at these international contests, too. There were plenty of strong gymnasts and group exercise teams, so I can say they warmed up a bit. Things are a little easier for them in that regard now. They've already proven themselves in a highly competitive environment, because the competition here is fierce. There’s no room for a mistake. On the other hand, this did put a bit of psychological pressure on them. It's okay, the girls did a great job, it was their first time. The best is yet to come!"
