Head Judge Evgeniya Finkelstein names the favorite of the Alina Kabaeva Grand Prix Champions Cup

Before the start of the Alina Kabaeva Champions Cup Grand Prix, chief judge Evgenia Finkelstein explained why this start is very important for the gymnasts.

"This is a very serious tournament for me as the Head judge, and also for the gymnasts. Because these are very important competitions, international ones. The first international competitions this season under the new rules. I really like these rules, I really like artistry, because gymnasts can express themselves, show different images, completely different exercises," she said.

She also named the favorite of the competition and noted the opportunities that the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association provides to the athletes.

"Well, judging by how the Russian championship went, our favorite at the moment is Masha Borisova. And I also think that all the girls will fight, because this is a competition. Not all the girls have managed to demonstrate everything they are capable of at the championship. And Sky Grace gives them the opportunity to prove themselves now at these competitions. Therefore, of course, it is great when there is such a platform and the girls have another opportunity," she said.
