Stiliana Nikolova from Bulgaria speaks about the start of the season and the World Cup stage in Baku

European champion Stiliana Nikolova from Bulgaria spoke about the World Cup stage in Baku and how the season started:

"I always really enjoy competing in these tournaments. The venue is gorgeous, the atmosphere is very cozy, and I always enjoy competing here. I've had more time to work on my routines, and everything feels a little more consistent than at my first event. I'd say there are more strong competitors here, since Olympic champion Daria Varfolomeev is competing here, whereas she didn't compete in Sofia. We get along well with all the girls. We appreciate each other's work. We know how difficult it is. So we support each other."

The gymnast also noted what she sees as her strengths:

"I'd say, to a certain extent, charisma. And the energy I convey."

At the tournament, Stiliana won a silver medal with the hoop and also placed third in the all-around and in the ball routine.
