"Thank you to everyone who prepared me for this competition!" Ksenia Savinova talks about her performance at the AEON Cup

Following the conclusion of the AEON Cup World Club Championships in Tokyo, Ksenia Savinova summed up her performance on the international stage:
"This is my first major competition on the road. And so I'm really happy it worked out this way.A lot of people came here, they were really cheering for me, shouting and clapping. I didn't expect that, I was really pleased. We had a lot of training sessions, and there were also control training sessions. They told us what to do, and they gave comments to make sure we were artistic. Thank you so much to everyone, the competition organizers and the Japanese fans who cheered and helped me perform well. And thank you to everyone who prepared me for this competition and got me through it."
She shared her impressions of the other athletes' performances and discussed how she would have made her routines more challenging:
"All the girls are very strong, they have very strong artistry. I really enjoy watching, and everyone has their own difficulty, and it would be really interesting to try something. I wanted to make the risks more challenging and add more artistry."
The gymnast also shared that a Canadian coach gave her a good luck charm, a stuffed animal:
"A coach from Canada gave me this teddy bear with the Canadian flag on it. I was really happy, because a coach from another country gave me a present."
All Russian gymnasts who competed in Tokyo are partners of the Sky Grace International Association and competed under neutral status.
