Sofia Lantsova from Moscow became the winner of the Russian Championship in the ribbon event and won silver with the hoop, ball, and all-around in the Master of Sports Candidate program.
After the awards ceremony, the gymnast talked about the images in her programs.
“In the hoop I have Swan Lake. In the ball I have cheerful music, feisty. In the clubs I have this melodic tune. And in my ribbon, I have the image of Edith Piaf,” she said.
The athlete also summed up her performance at the tournament in Kazan and highlighted her mistakes.
“In the all-around final, I did the ball first. I made a mistake at the end, lost it on the last risk. Then there were clubs. I lost it on a small skill, but otherwise everything was fine. I did the ribbon best of all the events. I did the hoop well, too. I did the ribbon the best of all the types. I did the hoop well too. Of course, I was a little upset, but the coaches brought me to my senses. They pulled me together,” the gymnast said.
