"Now I’m preparing to conquer a different Olympus!" Arina Tkachuk talks about future plans and training at the Academy

A participant of the international Sky Grace-2023 tournament, Russian national team gymnast Arina Tkachuk came to Sirius for the latest training camp.
She shared what she does at the Academy.
"I help my coach. I also teach some master classes with objects, and create new programs for children. We choose music that suits a particular child. We select the image body difficulties, selecting elements of skill, risks. We compose interesting, artistic dance tracks," Arina said.
She also noted the advantages of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association rules.
"It’s great that we had the opportunity to revive some elements that had become quite devalued under international rules. For example, at Sky Grace in Beijing last year I performed Inna Zhukova’s jump. It’s a jump with a leg to the side, with a 360-degree turn, the second one is tucked in on the pass. Now, according to the international rules, it costs quite little. It's only 0.4. Alina Kabaeva and the professionals raised the cost of this jump to 0.8. That is, this is already a competitive element with which fairly famous gymnasts can perform," she said.
In one of her posts, Arina wrote that she was preparing to conquer a new Olympus. And now she has shed light on exactly what she meant.
"This is the most discussed topic of the recent weeks. In fact, I wrote a short post about a rather unsuccessful performance on the second day at the second stage of the Strongest Cup. After that, I wrote that it’s okay, we will continue to prepare: "Now I’m preparing to conquer another Olympus." Namely, after this I had to take a state exam. I'm graduating from university and I took my final exam. Just the other day I defended my master’s thesis. This was the actual Olympus that I was talking about," the gymnast explained.
