"It's nice to be the guest of honor." Alina Harnasko about the international tournament in Beijing

Bronze medalist of the Olympic Games in Tokyo Alina Harnasko came to the Zhong Ling Cup tournament as a guest of honor and took in the atmosphere of the competition:

"It is great to be an honored guest at the competitions of a titled Chinese athlete. There is a wonderful atmosphere here. It is true that there is a huge number of participants, the competitions are held from early morning until late in the evening. It’s hard, of course, but it’s incredibly pleasant that such a huge number of people in a huge country like China were waiting for us here and welcomed us so warmly". 

The Belarusian athlete took part presenting awards to the winners of the tournament, and also performed at the gala show. Now they  have three days of master classes ahead of them. 

Alina Harnasko also shared her impressions of a tour of Beijing, which she visited together with the Academy gymnasts and even tried a fried scorpion:

"We managed to walk around a bit. It's great that we've enjoyed the culture, the history, the food and what it's like to jump from our food to Chinese food. Of course, we need time to get used to it a little. The heat, the climate, all of this is completely different, but why not? You have to try everything, everything that is interesting."

The international Zhong Ling Cup tournament, named after the famous Chinese gymnast Zhong Ling, was held in Beijing on August 10-13.
