"Wonderful impressions!" Shaolin Wushu coach from China and his student talk about the Academy

After the rehearsal at the Academy, we spoke with the coach of the Shaolin Wushu school from the Chinese province of Henan, Yu Wen Feng, and his student Xie Haibo. They told us in detail about their role in the performance at the Alina-2024 festival.
Coach Yu Wen Feng shared his impressions.
"This is my first time in Russia. And I really like this country. The nature is beautiful here. Russian people are very friendly and welcoming. It’s very beautiful and majestic here. The Academy coaches are very kind," he said.
The coach also spoke about the festival performance.
"In our show, we use wushu elements to show Shaolin kung fu, an element of ancient Chinese martial arts. We expect the performance to be a great success. I also hope for good cooperation with the Russian side," he said.
Wushu athlete Xie Haibo also shared his emotions after arriving at the Academy:
"The impressions are wonderful. The atmosphere is great and we were well received. It’s not cold here, it’s very comfortable and good. There were no difficulties during the training. In our wushu performance there are elements of basic kung fu, the skill of jumping in the air, group wushu, and kung fu fan. I would like the performance to be successful," he said.
In December 2023, Chinese athletes performed at the gala show of the international Sky Grace tournament in Beijing.
