Ulyana Yanus noted significance of becoming the master of sports after winning the Sky Grace Cup interregional tournament

Ulyana Yanus won the all-around at the Sky Grace Cup interregional competition for the Siberian Federal District.

The athlete told us what the transition to masters of sports means for her:

"As they are more experienced, they have very interesting programs, very difficult ones, so I try to follow them as an example. I am very pleased to stay with the girls at the same stage. So it is a great honor for me."

Ulyana also shared with us how coach Vera Shtelbaums supports her before appearing on the mat:

"I think Vera is also a little worried. She sets me up for a good performance, so that I go out with good thoughts, tells me what needs to be fixed and what needs to be added. I am very grateful to her."

The gymnast also answered the question about her hobbies and the favorite school subject:

"Outside of gymnastics, I study, do my homework, walk the dog. Probably Russian, because it’s easier for me and I find it interesting to learn all the rules."
