“It’s a great honor to be on the team!” Natalya Simashkevich talks about the BRICS Games
Natalya Simashkevich, coach of Victoria Bespalova from Ulyanovsk, spoke about preparations for the BRICS Games.
“We focus on stability, we do it until we get a clean run, that’s everything, there is little time left before the start, clean runs, clean exits are needed. We’ve tweaked it a little in terms of artistic preparation, dance tracks, and now we’re kind of trying to do it together, everything to the music, with the tempo. We are trying to almost make a new program in a very short period of time, and we are doing well,” she said.
She noted that training with Olympic champion Alina Kabaeva helped the gymnast.
“Alina Kabaeva gave us a lot of comments, a lot of suggestions, so we are finalizing everything that she told us, trying to portray it and trying to do it, mainly in terms of the technique of element performance, the technique of performing risky elements, risks,” the coach said.
Natalya also shared her expectations from the upcoming competitions.
“For our gymnast from Ulyanovsk it is a great honor to be included in the team of the Sky Grace Association. I would say this will be the biggest tournament in her career, so, of course, we are glad that we made it and hope that we will not let the team down and will perform well,” she said.
Victoria Bespalova from Ulyanovsk will perform at the BRICS Games in Kazan from the team of the International Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Clubs Association as part of the senior program.
