"They showed class and a lot of emotion." Russia’s Honored Coach Olga Buyanova talks about Sky Grace gymnasts at the Russian Championship

Honored coach of Russia Olga Buyanova shared her impressions of the gymnasts' performances at the Russian Championship.
"This Russian championship is very unusual because we have a new program. I like this program very much personally as a coach, as a professional. The number of elements is limited in this program, the number of risks is limited, but judging is very strict for the composition and artistry. It means the gymnast must ‘live through’ a minute and a half, demonstrate the image, and show nuances of music," she said.
Olga separately noted the programs of Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy athletes.
"I saw performances of these gymnasts and, certainly, I can say these girls seek after showing the image exactly. These dance steps, the good body work. They merely showed the class and many emotions. And I see that coaches and Alina— she is Alina for me because I know her from childhood — contribute a lot to them," Olga said.
Among Olga’s students are Olympic silver medalist Daria Dmitrieva and world champions Oksana Kostina and Natalia Lipkovskaya.
