Winner of the Sky Grace Cup Mariia Borisova talks about preparations for the tournament

Mariia Borisova became the champion of the all-Russian Sky Grace Cup competition under the Masters of Sports program.

After the end of the individual program tournament, the athlete from St. Petersburg shared her emotions from her performance at the Academy.

"The atmosphere is very pleasant, in general it’s a pleasure to perform in this hall every time, especially to train, everything is at the highest level. Almost nothing has changed in the programs since the last Sky Grace in St. Petersburg. We prepared just as hard. We worked on stability and this time it worked in separate types," Mariia said.

The gymnast also spoke about the mood that she tried to convey to the audience.

"I prepared for the clubs in the same way as usual. I tuned in to the image, to please everyone, the entire audience. And show a real Kalinka-Malinka," she said.

Mariia Borisova also answered the question about the Belarusian school of rhythmic gymnastics.

"Belarusian gymnastics is, probably, first of all, about interesting things with the object, such as skills, elements. All the girls there are just wow, doing space gymnastics. And, of course, these are my friends, Belarusians, we all get along very well," she said.

It is in Minsk that the international Sky Grace Cup competition will be held at the end of May.
