"They cried with joy at being given this chance." Coach Lilia Borisova talks about the Tatarstan team's participation in the Cup of the Strongest final

One of the teams that received the opportunity to compete in the Cup of Strongest under a quota from the Sky Grace International Association was the junior group gymnasts from Tatarstan.

Coach Lilia Borisova described the team's preparation for the final in Moscow:

"Considering our poor performance at the start last time, we could have done better. It was a great joy for us to reach the Cup of the Strongest final. This is a very serious competition. We prepared better, and I hope for a good performance. The girls cried with joy at being given such a chance to compete with the leading teams. We mainly worked on artistic expression, because throws and collaboration are secondary. The rules of rhythmic gymnastics have changed significantly, focusing on dance, theater, and artistic expression — we've been working on that all this time. We dance a lot. We invited a dance specialist, and we worked a lot on body movement, and we dedicated most of our time to that. We also danced to music with them, demonstrating them dance moves. It's a great experience for them to be here. I hope they'll be happy with the opportunity they've been given. I hope they'll represent our republic well at this competition."

The Cup of the Strongest final is taking place in Moscow from October 19th to 21st.
