"They really want to compete at our tournaments!" Coach Evgenia Eliseeva talking about training sessions of Jimena Dominguez in the Academy

Venezuelan national team gymnast Jimena Dominguez is training with our coach Evgenia Eliseeva during the training camp in the Academy.

The professional shared with us elements the athlete is learning under Sky Grace rules.

"She and I came up with elements that suited her according to the Sky Grace rules. We found perfect elements for her — three, two combined and single elements with work, with skills, since she worked very little with the jump rope."

She highlighted the main challenge in work and also noted, what the gymnast is doing best.

"The difficulty was precisely in the work of the object, so that it would be comfortable. She is also left-handed and it wasn't entirely easy. Somewhere it was necessary to move the hand in the right way so that everything would be comfortable and fluid. And we found its entire set by element. The coach wrote down everything, and now it will be easier for them to create a program for Sky Grace. She does the turns well. She did a great job of turning our element into a puff with both rotation and balance. Very impressive indeed. And after a step she turns well."

The coach explained, what goals the athlete sets for herself.

"They really want to compete at our tournaments and are preparing, that’s why they came. We even learned the Alina Kabaeva’s droplet."

Jimena Dominguez from Venezuela will be practicing in the training camp in the Academy until July 13.
