“Very bright and artistic.” Ekaterina Bayborodina about Ksenia Savinova’s performance at the Young Gymnasts tournament

Coach and choreographer Ekaterina Bayborodina came to the Young Gymnasts tournament in Moscow along with her students. She shared her impressions of the competition.

“I like everything very much. The strongest gymnasts from all over Russia gathered here. Pre-junior girls born in 2011-2013. I really like everything. Everything is colorful and beautiful. I really like the compositions. How the coaches approached the choice of music,” she said. 

 The coach also appreciated the performance by Ksenia Savinova, at the Alina Kabaeva Sky Grace Rhythmic Gymnastics Academy.

“I watched Ksenia Savinova yesterday, I think that’s her name. I really liked the exercise without an object. Very bright, artistic. The production is simply magnificent. Well done to the coaches,” Ekaterina said. 

 She also told the young athletes how to deal with failures in the right way. 

 “ Let's start with the fact that all gymnasts are different. They have their own psychotype, as I would say.  Of course, you shouldn’t be too upset, because life doesn’t end there. And the most important thing is to listen to your coach. Everything she says, do everything. And then everything will be fine. Even if there was a failure. You just have to keep on working,” she said. 

Ekaterina Bayborodina was one of the directors of the Flowers performance at the Alina-2023 festival.
